The short version: your health data stays on your phone. PeriShift has no account and no server. We never receive your logs, and there is no copy of them anywhere but your own device.
PeriShift is a perimenopause symptom tracking app published by Book Weaver Publishing LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). You can reach us at support@peri-shift.com. Our mailing address is 160 W. Foothill Pkwy, Ste 105, Box 127, Corona, CA 92882.
Everything you enter is saved in a database on your phone. That includes:
This information stays on your device. It is not sent to us, to a cloud service, or to anyone else.
We never receive any of the following, because the app has no way to send it:
We do not sell your data, share it, or use it for advertising. We could not do any of those things, because we do not have it.
On Android, Google's billing library also sends limited technical diagnostics to Google. Section 4 explains exactly what they contain. They never include your logs or any health information.
PeriShift contacts your app store's billing service, Google Play Billing on Android and the App Store on iOS. That is used to check whether your subscription or free trial is active.
What is exchanged is purchase information such as a purchase token and a product identifier. It never includes your name, your logs, or any health information.
On Android, subscriptions are handled by the Google Play Billing Library, which is software made by Google and built into the app. That library also sends its own diagnostic logs to Google. The logs describe how the connection to Google Play Billing is working, for example an error saying the billing service is unavailable. Each log includes technical details about your phone and the app:
These logs do not include your name, your email address, your logs, or any health information. They go to Google, not to us, and Google handles them under the Google Privacy Policy. PeriShift does not control this reporting. The iPhone app uses Apple's own App Store payment system and does not include this library.
Every tracking feature in the app works with no internet connection at all.
PeriShift does not ask you to create an account, sign in, or provide identifying information. There is no registration, and there is nothing on our side to log in to.
On Android, PeriShift can read measurements your ring or watch has already recorded, so you do not have to type them in yourself. This is optional. It is off unless you turn it on in Settings, under Connected devices, and it requires your explicit permission through Health Connect.
PeriShift requests read access to four data types, and no others:
Each type serves a feature you can see in the app. Sleep replaces the hours you would otherwise log by hand every night. Resting heart rate, heart rate variability and skin temperature are shown alongside the symptoms you log, and can be included in the PDF report you take to your doctor. Skin temperature is reported as a change from your own baseline, not as a body temperature.
PeriShift never writes anything to Health Connect. It does not create, change or delete any record there, and it does not request write access.
Health Connect is a store on your phone, not an internet service. What PeriShift reads from it is copied into PeriShift's own database on the same phone, and it stays there. It is not transmitted to us or to anyone else, it is not sold, it is not shared with third parties, and it is never used for advertising or for any purpose other than the features described above.
We keep a copy on the device rather than reading Health Connect each time because Health Connect only makes the last 30 days available to an app. Without a stored copy, anything older than 30 days would disappear from your own records.
Removing PeriShift's access does not delete anything from Health Connect itself. Your ring or watch data stays where it was.
PeriShift includes no advertising, no crash reporting, and no third-party analytics. On Android, Google's Play Billing Library sends its own diagnostic logs to Google, as described in section 4. Nothing in the app watches how you use it and reports it back to us. There are no trackers.
That word can mean two things, so to be plain about it: the app does analyze what you log. Trends, Insights and the doctor report are exactly that, and they are the reason the app exists. The same is true of anything read from a ring or watch. All of that math runs on your phone, using only your own data, and the result stays on your phone. What this section rules out is a company receiving information about you. It does not rule out the app doing the arithmetic you asked it to do.
The doctor report is generated on your device from data already stored there. The file is created on your phone and goes only where you send it, using the sharing method you pick. We never receive it, store it, or process it.
Because everything is stored on your device, you control all of it:
We hold no copy of your data, so there is nothing for you to request from us and nothing for us to restore once you delete it.
PeriShift is intended for adults going through perimenopause. It is rated 16+ and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16, and PeriShift does not ask anyone for personal information.
Because everything is stored on your device, you have complete control:
There is no account to close and no server-side data to request.
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the effective date above and post the revised version at this address. Please review this page from time to time. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the revised policy.
